March 8th is International Women’s Day and we can’t think of a better way to help women and girls around the world than working to provide clean water for them. Having access to clean water means so much to girls and women, who are often the ones primarily responsible for walking miles each day to fill containers so their family has water. They rarely make it to secondary school because they simply don’t have time when hours are spent walking. They often face conflict and unsafe conditions while they travel. There are so many challenges they face everyday. Put yourself in the shoes of a teenage girl or young mother who walks four miles one way every day for something we take for granted every time we turn on a faucet.
Our goal is to drill another well in Kenya (this one in the Rombo area) by the end of 2018. Please consider donating on this International Women’s Day to help women and girls have an opportunity at a brighter future. #internationalwomensday #worldwidewells www.drillingwells.org
