Kevin Letchworth began his interest in the water well industry when he was just a teenager who worked during the summer for a local well drilling company. He did everything for the owner from splitting wood to helping on the drill rig. After he graduated from high school, his father and uncle purchased that local well drilling business and he went on to work full time. After twenty years of being immersed in every aspect of the company, Kevin became one of the owners and CEO of this company, N. W. Poole Well & Pump Co., based out of Wendell, NC. Once Kevin and the new owners of the company initially sat down to discuss the future of their business, they decided to give back in some small way using the knowledge they had in the industry and knowing the importance of clean water both here and around the world. This local company where Kevin starts working at 16 then sponsored a well in Kenya, Africa and sent funds for the project. Once the project was complete, Kevin traveled to see it firsthand and met with Pastor James Muteti. When Kevin returned to tell friends and family about the need for water in that area and around the globe and how many people came to the well and were able to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ at the same time, those who heard about it wanted to get involved. It was at this time that Kevin and his wife decided to start a non-profit that their company could continue to contribute to and invite others to join as well. While Kevin serves as CEO of this company, he also serves as a Deacon at his church, a Kids Ministry leader, and a member of the Audio/Visual team, helping weekly with the Livestream of the service. He enjoys traveling and spending time with his family and friends, including frequent trips to Liberty University to watch his son perform with the marching band and wind symphony or weekends with the local high school watching his daughter perform with the high school color guard. He looks forward to returning to Kenya and Peru to the recent sites, as well as anywhere the Lord leads the foundation.
